I first met Judi over 15 years ago when she joined the insurance company I was working with at the time. I recall my first impressions were that she was so positive and fun and intelligent.  We worked together for many years and I considered her not only a friend, but a mentor who significantly contributed to my development. It was a difficult decision to leave that company as I reported to Judi and I was leaving such a great working relationship. I recall giving an incredibly tearful resignation but Judi was of course so positive and happy for me that I was moving on in my career.  Just a couple of short years later, I was honoured when Judi jumped at the opportunity to come work for me at Markel.  Even though her time at Markel was brief, she continued to impact so many people here and she will be missed by many colleagues and industry friends.

Judi was the perfect balance of work hard / play hard.  I recall the many fun times we had at company or industry parties or at the amazing house parties she and Rhonda hosted that I had the privilege to be invited to.
